Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Downingtown, PA
Updated 2026-05-24 · Kid Friendly Chesco editors
Downingtown doesn't get enough credit as a dining destination, especially for families. It's less precious than West Chester Borough, parking is genuinely easier, and the strip around the Struble Trail trailhead makes it natural to combine a walk with a meal. Victory Brewing alone is a reason to make the trip.

Questions
Things parents ask
- What are the best kid-friendly restaurants in Downingtown?
- Victory Brewing Company is the top pick — large outdoor beer garden, kids menu, and enough space that your table isn't the whole room's problem. The downtown Downingtown area has a handful of good casual spots as well.
- Where should we eat after the Struble Trail in Downingtown?
- Victory Brewing Company is the most obvious post-trail stop — large lot, outdoor space, kids menu. If you want something lighter, the Downingtown Borough area has café options for a quick bite.
- Is Downingtown good for families with young kids?
- Yes. Easier parking than West Chester, the Struble Trail and Kardon Park are both family-friendly and right in town, and the restaurant options are casual enough that nobody's going to make you feel bad about showing up with a toddler.
